I don't usually write reviews, but this one was terrible. I purchased a new vehicle from this stealership about a month ago and they used back-end sales tactics that were less than transparent and honorable. They plant a seed in your mind that they are giving you a better deal. They make it sound as if what they give you is beneficial to you, but they don't tell you that there are significant changes to what was agreed on the front-end. The basic synopsis is here. After 6 hours, an agreement is made on the front-end for the trade and purchase. You get in to sign when you wait a bit longer. The first thing they said was, great news! I have an extended warranty and vehicle appearance coverage for you. I am happy with the news. Would you be? I am still paying less. Where do I sign before the deal is over? I was exhausted by that point. I didn't have a box of crayons because I left my medication at home. I drove a long way to get there and had a long drive home. Finance runs smoothly. The appearance coverage product document was presented to me during signing and we put it on all of our cars. I was under the impression that it was included in the Special Deal, but I didn't notice several documents that showed it wasn't free or in any way compulsory. The same was applied to the warranty. I don't know how to sign. I was a fool because I assumed these people were taking care of me and I could trust them. The documents are proof of a degree of transparency, but not full transparency. It is possible to achieve full transparency by showing and stating. Show the document, state the costs, state that it is not mandatory to purchase, state what effect it has, do not make omissions of fact, and so on. Is it a lie? That is not open. By choosing the opening statement to sound like a customer is getting something very special, but deliberately choosing not to communicate the actual cost or change, you can't infer that something is special. If you cannot sell a product with full transparency, without using any form of psychological manipulation, or communicative deception, then you have no business being in business. It didn't take long to see what that snake did. I received an extended warranty, vehicle appearance coverage, and a lower payment. They hid the costs by extending the term. Simple enough to not bring up anything else. The appearance coverage is another $500. I filled out the cancellation form and sent it back. I faxed the form myself because I didn't think they would cancel. I called the warranty company because I had not heard from either side. The finance guy couldn't explain where my fax copy went because he didn't send it according to the warranty company. The alternate method of cancellation was provided by the warranty company, so be cautious if you decide to buy from them.
